I was sore this morning!
Did you hear me… I AM SORE! (yeah I’m excited about that.)
I haven’t been sore since after the first week. I’m telling you Shaun T takes it up another notch in these workouts and today’s workout, Max Interval Plyometrics, was no exception.
Going for an hour is tough, but what is amazing is that the workouts do not feel that much longer. Because you are just pushing and moving so much it goes by really fast.
Shaun T did Level 3 drills in this exercise. Early on he starts out with level 1, then introduces level 2 and now level 3. Here is the breakdown.
- Level 1 – Hands Up, Down into plank position, 4 push ups, plank position running abs for a 4 count. (repeat a million times)
- Level 2 – Hands up, into plank, 8 push ups, run it out for an 8 count. (repeat)
- Level 3′s – Hands up, plank, 16 push ups… 16 FREAKIN PUSH UPS, run it out for 16 counts. (Yeah, you guessed it… REPEAT)
Crazy man… Crazy.
I felt like I only got through about 60% of today’s workout, exactly how I felt at the beginning of the Insanity workout.
Oh… Shaun T also did all these crazy push up moves today. A lot of upper body in this workout. The squat push ups were awesome. Hard to explain, but I’ll try. Start in a squat position, then you rock forward on to your hands in a squat style push up, then do a push up and push your body all the way back to the squat position, hands off the ground. I hop you can get the picture. They were pretty cool.
The side push ups were difficult to do, plus by the time you get to those you have already done about 7,000 push ups so that might may them more difficult.
Anyway… today’s workout was great.
See you tomorrow!
