PURE… Yeah PURE Cardio. That is what today’s workout is called… (When I read that I was scared.)  And Shaun T himself says in the video that he is nervous for the workout!… WHAT!?

Pure Cardio means after the warm up and stretching it is over 20 minutes of straight cardio without a single break.  This Insanity Exercise was pretty crazy. 60 seconds per workout done as fast, or as many times as you can.  He repeats some of the workout techniques from the previous videos, but also brings in some new stuff.

Shaun T had to tell 4 or 5 of the people in his crew to go take a break and get water.  It was awesome. You know… that makes me feel a whole lot better about myself when the people on the video have to take breaks… :)

Overall I was really happy with how I did today.  I felt really good and didn’t take as many breaks as I really expected myself to take.  My muscles are finally starting to NOT hurt like a motha when I wake up, although they are still sore.

Yesterday I must have looked injured as I walked, my calves were so sore that I was practically walking with a limp all day.  Stairs felt like someone poured molten lava directly into my calf muscle.  But today all my muscles are feeling a whole lot better.

Glass of Chocolate Milk

Refuse This Temptation

NUTRITION: So yesterday was great.  I ate awesome.  No real cheating.  Whole grain cereal in the morning with non fat milk and a banana, turkey burger with whole grain bun for lunch and brown rice, chicken and black beans all wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla (YUM).  OH MAN… I caught myself in my own lie.  I must confess I did cheat slightly.  I had a glass of chocolate milk.  If I ever had a weakness it is chocolate milk.  More than ice cream, chocolate, sweets or anything.  I love chocolate milk.  I’ll have to limit my chocolate milk cheats down to a minimum.

Please share your thoughts, questions or comments in the comment section below.  Any questions about the nutrition, workouts, Shaun T, anything I’ll answer in the upcoming posts.

Tomorrow is another round of Plyo Cardio!  That one was tough, but then Sunday is………….REST DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
